Joe DuBois for Man of the Year! Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Fund Raiser
JOE'S Fundraising Letter
Wednesday, April 4, 2018
Dear Friends and Family,
This year, I am joining The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2018 Man & Woman of the Year campaign. I am writing today to ask for your support of my efforts to help LLS ensure access to cures and treatments for blood cancer patients.
I am competing with several other St. Louis Man & Woman of the Year candidates and together we will each put our best fundraising foot forward in honor of two courageous children, Auggie Powers and Hana Smajis, our Boy & Girl of the Year.
While childhood leukemia has the highest cure rate of any blood cancer, it is also still the number one disease killer among children under the age of 20. This needs to change, and I know that as we come together and partner with LLS that we will find a cure, not someday, but today!
Every dollar I raise is a vote to cure cancer. My team and I have 10 weeks from March 14th to May 18th to reach our goal of $100,000. There are many ways to support my campaign:
- Make a tax-deductible contribution – Donations may be made via the enclosed form or on my website http://pages.mwoy.org/gat/stlouis18/jdubois - don’t forget about company matching gift programs!
- Attend an event – My campaign team and I will host a variety of events during the 10 weeks. Watch for details via email and my website.
- Sponsor or attend the LLS Gala on May 18 – Companies or individuals may sponsor, buy tables or purchase tickets. It will be a fun evening of which I’d enjoy having you be a part. Further information is enclosed.
- Spread the word – I would greatly appreciate your assistance to reach out to your friends, family and colleagues to share the mission of LLS, endorse my campaign and ask for their support. It is through extended networks that I will be most successful and the ultimate goal of increasing awareness for LLS will be achieved.
This is going to be an exciting campaign. LLS is doing an awesome job fighting to end blood cancer. I appreciate your consideration and support.
Sincerely,
Joseph DuBois

Welcome to Susan DuBois' MWOY Fundraising Page!
Please join me in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to my fundraising campaign for Man & Woman of the Year.
I have joined a team that is driven to find cures for blood cancer. Our team is working to raise as much as possible over the next 10 weeks. Every dollar we raise counts as one vote for my team's candidate. The candidate whose team tallies the most votes earns the prestigious title of "Man or Woman of the Year".
As you know, though, everyone wins when cancer loses. Thanks to your support, my efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.
Many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients, but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.
We really are getting close to our goal of a world without blood cancers!
All donations are greatly appreciated and tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS research, but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support! For more information about LLS, please visit www.lls.org
